1. 제품개요

미국의 Afton Chemical은 각종 윤활유및 연료첨가제 제조회사로서 1887년 설립되어 현재에 이르고 있음.
기존의 연료첨가제 사업부분외에 Amoco Petroleum Additive Company, Nippon Cooper의 윤활유 첨가제 사업부분과
Texaco additive company의 점도지수 향상제 사업부분을 인수하여 전문적인 첨가제 제조회사로 각종 제품을 세계각지에 공급하고 있음.
2004년 7월1일 회사명을 Ethyl Corp.에서 Afton Chemical로 변경을 하고 더욱 활발한 제품개발과 Marketing을 하고 있음.

A. Automotive oil, Hydarulic oil and Components

윤활유 첨가제는 윤활유의 성능을 향상시키는 유기화합물이나 합성물질이 원료가 되어
엔진및 기타작동부분을 마모, 부식및 고온,고압에 의한 각종 탄화 잔유물로부터 보호하는 성능을 부여함.

Ethyl 윤활유 첨가제는 각국기관의 윤활유에 대한 까다로운 규정이나 OEM Specification을 만족하는
technology를 개발하여 세계적으로 각종제품을 공급하고 있음.

1) Passenger car motor Oil

PCMO Additive는 마모로부터 engine part를 보호하고 고온에 의해 발생되는 각종탄화물 축적을 줄이고,
연비향상, 산화방지능력,고온적응성 능력향상에 기여함
현재 API및 ILSAC 규격과 관련하여 새로운 규격을 만족하는 첨가제를 개발하고 있음.

2) Automotive & Industrial Gear Oil Additives

Gear Oil Additive는 마모, pitting, spalling으로부터 gear part를 보호하고
산하방지, 방청, 부식방지 능력을 향상시켜 Gear 수명을 연장하고 Gear의 유동을 원활하게 함

Ethyl Gear Additive는 Mercedes Benz 235.5 & 235.6, ZFTE,
ML 01-08, API GL-5, API GL-4, MIL-PRF-2105E, API MT-1, PG-2, VOLVO, MACK GO-J, Eaton, Rockwell등을 만족함

3) Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Oil Additives

PCMO Additive는 마모로부터 engine part를 보호하고 고온및 Sulfur 함유에 의한
각종탄화물의 filter 막힘 현상 이나 점도상승 문제를 줄이는데 기여함
Ethyl HDDEO Additive는 API CI4의 EGR diesel engine 요구사항을 만족하고 Mercedes Benz의 228.3, 229.1을 만족하고 있음

4) Antiwear Hydraulic Oils & Rust & Oxidation Inhibited Hydraulic Oils Additive

AW Additive는 Long-SERVICE hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinder 등에 적용되는 윤활유의
내마모성, 산화안정성, 방청성, 점도유지 능력 등을 향상시키는데 도움을 주고 있음

Ethyl Hydraulic Additive는 Denison HF-2 & HF-0, Vickers M-2905-S & I-286-S3,
Cincinnati Machine P-68 & P-69 & P-70, US Steel 126 & 127emd의 규격을 만족함

5) Automatic Transmission Fluid Additive

Ethyl ATF Additive는 Ethyl 특허의 DI package와 VII가 결합한 형태로
마모방지, 청결상태유지, Seal 성능향상에 기여하고 점도저하와 foam현상을 방지하는데 도움을 줌.
Ethyl ATF Additive는 General Motors DEXRON-III, Ford MERCON and MERCON V, Allison C4, ZF 규격을 만족함

B. Metal Working Fluid & Grease Additive

1) Metal Working Fluid
절삭유, 압연유등 금속가공유 분야에 성능을 최적화 시키는 첨가제를 각각의 component base로 공급을 하고 있음

- Emulsifier(Poly isobutyl-succinate / Synthetic sodium sulfonate)
- EP/AW Agent(Over based calcium sulfonate / Sulfurized olefin)
- Corrosion Inhibitor(Calcium sulfonate / Barium sulfonate / Thiadiazole)
- Demist(High molecular weight poly-isobutylene base)
- Quenching oil(Ashless dispersant containing nitrogen/boron)
- Lubricity additives(Mixture of fatty acids with approximately 18 carbon)
